Two people, one mother, and one man died in a crash caused by a suspected DUI driver. A drunk driver collided into a minivan, hit a pedestrian and later stuck multiple motorcycles along a road in Southern Los Angeles Sunday a.m. According to authorities, LAPD received notice around one a.m. referring to crash at the 1300 block of West 59th Street proximate to Normandie Avenue.
The drunk driver of a Dodge sedan struck a minivan securing five family members and then proceeded to maneuver his car into a pedestrian. A member of the motorcycle club who was walking on the sidewalk was later pronounced dead at the scene. William Lamar Walker was identified by the coroner. “I saw a woman soar across the room from the impact when he hit the building. I also saw another member of mine on the floor, crawling for his life,” motorcycle club member Lannel Thomas claimed.
Authorities revealed eight people, three being children under the age of ten, were injured from the crashes.
The suspect was arrested by authorities and was also transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the accident.
