Newlyweds Injured After Driving Off Cliff In Irvine

The Irvine Fire Department received a call about a car that had veered down a cliff Friday afternoon.  The accident took place on Turtle Ridge Drive near Summit Park.  Authorities are unsure what caused the vehicle to plummet 75 feet down the cliff.

The driver of the car was seriously injured and was in need of immediate medical attention, the passenger however only sustained minor injuries.  The car was heavily damaged but both were able to climb out of the wreckage.  OCFA heavy-rescue was soon on the scene to hoist up both the newlyweds, where paramedics transported them to a local medical center.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, although authorities believe that Fridays bad weather could be a major factor.  If you know any information about this accident please call your local authorities.  Always contact local police and an car accident lawyer in Irvine if you ever find yourself in an accident.
